Time Capsule
50 years ago a time capsule was buried at Hogg Street to celebrate a centenary of schooling in Wynyard. In the 80's this capsule was then moved to Table Cape Primary and buried out the front of the school, to be opened later this year.
On September 21 the Time Capsule will be opened and another will be put in its place to be dug up in 2071. Currently teachers are busy getting students to contribute to this year’s capsule.
These activities have included:
- writing letters to future self, what they would like to see in Wynyard
- writing a postcard to future self
- creating a photographic montage of the school and wider community
- creating a poster of favourite lunchbox snacks
- creating a photo montage of how we learn in Kinder in 2021
- writing about favourite toys and tv shows
- looking at the value of money in 2021
More information regarding September 21 celebrations will be released in the coming weeks.
